Settlers

Summary
After the third expedition to Mars, some men go and realize most of the men that had gone were dead, and martians had also died, but of chickenpox, since they didn't know how to treat it. One of the men, Spender, starts to kill men because he thinks they shouldn't be there, and he gets also killed. 
After  some time, the first group of humans that wanted to settle and live in Mars arrived mostly because they felt alone on Earth. In Mars, a thirty-one year old man called Benjamin, thought that Maars needed more air, so he started to plant trees all over the planet. He remembered his first few days in Mars, he had ammonia, and had fainted. The doctor said he better go back to Earth, because the air is too thin on Mars, but he denied going back, so he starting to plant trees to have mone oxygen. He fainted again, and when he woke up, thousands of trees were planetd and growing. Mars is beginning to be crowded with new people from Earth. More and more people came everyday. 

Quotes

"Mars was a distant shore, and the men spread upon it in waves. Each wave different, and each wave stronger" (87)

 This is when people start to go to Mars to live there, and I like this quote a lot because it explains how every grup of people were different, from different races, religions, belief and some other stuff.


Conclusion

In this part we can see that many people are leaving the planet to go to Mars, maybe to have a new opportunity or start a new life. Martians and humans are getting along alright, and humans are doing what they can to make this new planet into a home they can live on.

Summary On Earth, two racist men are talking how every single African-American from the South was leaving the planet to get to Mars, due that they don't like to be with people like them. Meanwhile, on Mars, men from Earth start to name/re-name different places in Mars to their own convenience. Mars becomes safer and safer everyday, and old people start getting to Mars.  Meanwhile, a man called Tomas was going to a party and meets a Martian, even though both speaked different languages, they tried to communicate. After talking for a while without understanding what the other said, the Martian quickly learned English, so they could talk. Muhe Ca (the Martian), and Tomas Gomez could finally relate to each other without killing each other, that was very weird between a man from Earth and a Martian. Trip To Mars

Summary      At the beginning of the story we can see how the author explains and describes that humans are creating rockets, we can probably guess that they are to get to Mars. Meanwhile, on Mars, a martian called Ylla dreams about a human that goes to Mars, she describes him to his husband, Yll, and he is jealous, because even though Ylla thinks that the man was very weird, she says he is also handsome. Yll decides to kill the man from Earth. After some time, some martians begin to act like americans for no reason at all, in some way they know that men from Earth are going there to meet them and try to colonize them. The humans finally get to Mars, and many of them are killed by the martians, for no reason at all. Meanwhile, a man on Earth, called Pritchard, goes to the rocket station and yells to one of the men in uniform that he wanted to go to Mars. The man was a taxpayer, and he says that he wants to go out from the planet because he thought there was going to be...
